Affordable educational provision, for young people who will thrive in a small group environment.

Educational Groups:

We offer a range of educational groups that provide enriching learning opportunities, in a nurturing environment with experienced and qualified teachers.  These can be especially useful for neurodivergent young people or those experiencing anxiety or low confidence.

Our provision is best suited to young people who will thrive in a small group environment, without requiring 1:1 support.

For KS2 age, our “Junior Skills & Social” day on a Friday provides a whole range of skill building opportunities through engaging projects, games, activities and storytelling.  Young people benefit from lots of time to develop social and team-working skills whilst taking part in activities such as outdoor learning, STEM, cooking, sports, problem solving and crafts.

For Secondary age, young people can access Maths, English and Life Skills in small groups in a relaxed setting.  This can include tuition for Functional Skills & GCSE.

Our fantastic Life Skills programmes give young people everything they need for adult life and can be accessed from Year 7 and above.   They learn about finances, housing, transport, education and the world of employment and business.  Every session starts with a wellbeing practice and we often invite interesting and relevant visitors into the sessions.

Cost:

In order to support a wide range of young people, we provide schools and local authorities with two-tiered costs.

If a young person would benefit from attending Rama Life, but doesn’t have funding at the moment, they can attend for our subsidised rate (for £10 per session).

If the young person has funding through the school or council through any means (such as an EHCP or EOTAS package, or they can do once the EHCP is reviewed), our full rate will apply.

This ensures two things: firstly that the government are paying for the provision, as is their legal responsibility.

Secondly, it enables us to ensure we have financial subsidy available for those who need it most, such as home educators – who do not receieve government funding.
