Term-time Groups for 2024 / 25 Academic Year

Rama Life provide a range of unique, exciting and useful educational groups to support a wide range of age and need, in a beautiful prupose built rural classroom and grounds, in South Petherton.

We welcome young people who are Home Educated or on an EOTAS package.  We can support young people who are currently attending school on a case by case basis (by arrangement with the school).  Visit our Schools, Home Education and About Us pages to learn more.

All groups are based at Frogmary Green Farm unless stated otherwise and new after-school, weekend and evening provision will be added over time.

Our senior leaders are all qualified teachers or tutors who fully support the ethos of Rama Life.  All of our staff have been checked on the DBS system, are trained in safeguarding and there are always first aiders on site.

Notes:

* Exams

If your young person wants to take exams they need to book them with an external provider.  We will be updating the website soon with more information on this.

We offer tuition for certain qualification, but in order to prepare adequately, home learning is essential.  We can provide guidance of the topics that should be covered but it is parents/carers responsibility to ensure your young person is ready for the exam.  We do not accept responsibility for outcomes of examinations.

Bookings and Payments:

Booking and Payments

Term-time groups are payable monthly in advance by bank transfer.

We add together the cost of the full year (or remaining year) and divide by the number of months remaining.  This helps families budget, as it is a set amount no matter how many weeks in the month or any holidays.  If you want to add new groups through the year, we will just re-calculate and tell you the new total.  You are welcome to “Pay As  You Go” for the first two sessions of any new group you join.

We accept bookings mid-year if there is space.

Siblings attending? Great! We can help with the cost by offering a 10% discount on second and subsequent siblings attending the same group.

Our Rates:

Subsidised Rate

  • This is the rate we advertised on our timetable.
  • It is for young people without council funding.
  • This is the default rate for home educated young people, unless they have council funding.

Full Rate

    • This is the rate for anyone with council or government funding.
    • It could be through an EHCP, EOTAS, PEP or other.
    • We welcome any school or home educating family, who is financially able to pay the full cost, to do so, to support the work we do.
    • Our full rate is 2.5x our subsidised (advertised) rate.

Special Educational Needs: Rama Life aim to support as many young people as possible and specificially those who are neurodivergent.
Please note we do not have the premises or staffing, to meet the needs of all young people – including those who are at risk of dysregulation, or who are a flight risk or need 1:1 support.
Please get in touch to discuss any needs that your child has and we can confirm if the group you are interested in is likely to be suitable and what reasonable adjustments we may be able to make to make it accessible.
